Crowdfunding campaign turns private beach into national park

A public campaign in New Zealand to buy a beach property in the Abel Tasman National Park has been successful. Almost 40,000 people pledged well over $NZ2 million ($1.8 million) to help buy the private property in the park, which is on the northern tip of the South Island.
