Event Details

Indigenous Peoples Week (August 3-9) is co-hosted by Planeta.com, Nutti Sámi Siida, TIME Unlimited and The Travel Word. Participation is free and open to all. The week of celebration begins August 3.

This is our fifth annual celebration of social web storytelling about indigenous peoples and tourism around the world. Hence our #IPW5 hashtag on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

Registration is now open via Eventbrite: http://indiweek2015.eventbrite.com

Indigenous Peoples Week leads up to August 9 — the United Nations’ International Day of the World’s Indigenous People.

Conversations have already begun. Please let us know how you would like to be involved. Participating in Indigenous Peoples Week Week can be as simple or involved as you like.

One of Planeta.com’s tentpole events, Indigenous Peoples Week manifests our commitment toward effective communication and collaboration. Responsible travel is not an ethical dilemma of whether to have fun or be responsible. We can do both!
